Trail Rides & Rates

RIDES/RATES:

You have the choice of a group trail ride with other like riders, or a private group ride with only people in your group. You can opt for either a walk pace or walk/trot pace trail ride.
Please Note: Private rides have a 3 rider minimum.

WALKING PACE RIDE:

• 1 hour group ride is done at a walk pace with a trained Trial Guide
• Children must be 7 years old to ride, well behaved and able to take directions from the guide.
• Riders must be under 220 lbs.

GROUP RIDE:
Walking Pace Group Ride –  Ride Time: 1 hour  Rate: $65 per rider

PRIVATE GROUP RIDE: (3 person minimum)
Walking Pace Group Ride – Ride Time: 1 hour  Rate: $85 per rider

WALK/TROT RIDE: 

• 1 hour group ride with a trained Trail Guide
• 30 minutes at a walking pace, the remaining time is walking with a few short intervals at the trotting pace with a Trained Trail Guide.
• Children must be 12 years old to ride, well behaved and able to take directions from the guides.
• Please Note: If your child is under 12 years old, but an experienced rider, please contact us and we may waive this policy.
• Riders Must be under 220 lbs.

GROUP RIDE:
Walk/Trot Group Ride – Ride Time: 1 hour  Rate: $85 per rider                                                      

PRIVATE GROUP RIDE: (3 person minimum)
Group Walk/Trot Group Ride – Ride time: 1 hour  Rate: $95 per rider

Please use the form below to begin the process of scheduling your upcoming ride. We will contact you to complete the reservation process.  You can also use the form to order a gift certificate.

HOW TO SCHEDULE

All trail rides are scheduled securely either by:

• Filling out the Ride Reservation form and one of our staff will be in touch to confirm ride.
• By calling 540-778-2623. Please leave a voicemail if we are not available. (Please provide your name, phone number, preferred day & time for your trail ride, how many adults/children, whether you would like a private or group ride and if you prefer a walk pace or walk/trot ride.)

OUR POLICIES

• It is required you arrive at the Stable 15 minutes prior to your scheduled ride time. This allows us to get you signed in and on your horse by your scheduled departure time.
• Riders under the age of 18 years are required to wear an equestrian approved riding helmet. You may wear your own helmet or one will be provided.
• We cannot accept riders younger than 7 years of age for trail rides.
• For the safety and care of our horses as well as your safety: We cannot accept riders 220 lbs. or over. If a rider’s weight is in question, riders will asked to be weighed and no refunds will be given. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

RESERVATION POLICY

Reservations are Required; no walk ins. Please Call us at 540-778-2623 or use the contact form to schedule your ride.  A valid credit card is required to make your reservation and secure your ride time. A Deposit is not required. If you have questions please EMAIL

• We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your trail ride time.
• Once you arrive, you will park to the left of the office building. Our office building is marked “Office”.
• Here, you can check in, each rider will sign a waiver form (parents will sign for minors), payment will be taken, and you will then be instructed where to get fitted for helmets (helmets are required for minor children, but optional for adults).
• While you wait, there are fun and friendly animals to visit. From peacocks to tiny goats, you will surely find a friend to get to know.
• Our friendly guides will have your horses tacked up and ready to go.
• Once your ride is ready to go out, our guides will introduce you to the horse you will be riding, as well as assist each individual with mounting their horse.
• Once mounted, another guide will give you instructions for your trail ride.
• Never been riding before? Don’t worry! A lot of our riders are first-time riders. From hand-positioning to how to properly sit in your saddle for the most comfort and balance, we will go over everything you need to know to have a wonderful riding experience!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Canceling 24 hours prior to your scheduled time will not result in a cancellation fee.
• If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time, there will be a fee of 50% of the total ride cost.
• “No Shows” will also be charged 100% of the total ride cost.

A WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED BY EACH INDIVIDUAL ADULT AND THE PARENT/GUARDIAN OF A MINOR CHILD.
